MOU

Below are Memorandums of Understanding with the Board of Education. These are the result of collaborative conferencing between BCEA and the Board in accordance with the Professional Educators’ Collaborative Conferencing Act.

  • April 2016: Increases base pay to $35,885 on new salary schedule. Added Longevity Step of $8,000 for teachers that file intent to retire at the end of the following school year. 
  • August 2014: Collapses first three steps in the Bachelors and Masters lanes on the salary schedule. Moves certified staff up one step.
  • November 2013: Increases base pay by $460, and adjusts all steps according to the index, retroactive to the beginning of the 13-14 school year. Supplement insurance premiums by $25 from January 15-July 30, 2014.

The Collaborative conferencing team consists of 7 teacher representatives and 7 Board representatives. The team may discuss salary, insurance, fringe benefits, working conditions, grievance procedures, leave and payroll deductions.
