Teacher Survey Highlights

Results from the sixth annual Tennessee Educator Survey have been released
Local highlights:
- 84% of teachers agree that, “The staff feels comfortable raising issues and concerns that are important to them with school leaders.”
- 79% of teachers agree that “There is an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect within this school.”
Both of these numbers indicate a healthy working relationship between the classroom and administration, and that Blount County is a great place to teach for the overwhelming majority of teachers.
However, there are several schools where a concerning number of educators disagreed with the two statements above. Working together, we can change that climate. Contact your Association Representative if you’d like to assist.
